Scientific Certification Systems Green Product Design Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an analysis or estimation of the environmental impact of the production, use and disposal of a product. LCA should be one of the major determinants of whether or not a new product idea sees the light of day. Production processes, products and packaging must balance customer performance, health and safety specifications with regulatory requirements. To assist clients in developing greener processes, goods and services, Walter Coddington worked with the Scientific Certification Systems to create product planning models and guidelines to help development and marketing teams to fully appreciate the enormous environmental impact and marketing opportunities involved in environmentally sensitive product design.
